Lord
knows there is a ton of stuff to keep straight about this sport and our field.
As far as I can tell, everything you need to know about the field and playing
with us can be found either on this page or by clicking one of the links below.
Veterans of the field, if I have missed anything, lemme know in the forums
so that I can get it added.
2007
CHANGES TO THE FIELD:
- AGE
LIMIT ON THE FIELD Beginning with Noob Day 2007, the minimum age
limit required to be on the field without parental supervision
is 14. Most of our players are over 14 so this will not be a problem for
the most of you. For the players that DO fall into this
category, we are trying to make it as easy on you as possible:
- Parents
may carpool the players as long as there is 1 responsible parent
for every 6 players. If parents want to divide up the different
game playdates, then most parents will pnly have to serve one or two
days of duty during the entire year.
- We want
to be as convenient for parents as we can be, but we have found that
younger players tend to act a little better when a parent is around.
For that matter, there are a few older players who could stand for mom
to hang around while they play as well :).
- MARCH
WILL BE THE ONLY WARNING MONTH YOU WILL GET!! If
you fail to follow this rule in March, you will be given a warning.
Beginning in April, it will be followed to the letter.
- THIS
RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!! We are manning the front gates
this year and vehicles will be stopped and inspected as you enter to
ensure compliance in this rule. Don't make us have to turn you away
and drive all the way home because you failed to follow this rule.
- NEW
WAIVERS MUST BE SIGNED 2006 waivers will NOT WORK
for 2007. Everyone must sign a new 2007 waiver in order to be allowed to
play on the field. Those waivers are not finished yet, but when they are,
I will post their location in the forums and there will be alink from here
and the main website page. The new waiver WILL INCLUDE A MEDICAL
RELEASE FORM that the 2006 waiver did not have as well as a few
new changes and tweaks.
- ID
CARDS FOR THE VETERANS We are giving every veteran player on the
field an ID card. This will signify the owner as a veteran of the field
and will be needed if you want to reserve the field for a private game this
year. This will also help us keep up with the veterans that have paid up
their $25 annual field donation. As big as the field has become, maintenance
and upkeep have become quite an expensive task. Core Team members, in the
past, have typically paid up well over $200 EACH every
year just to help maintain and upgrade the field. Hey, we have families
too and as much as we love this sport, we need some help. $25 per person
for the entire year is a pittance for what you get and we are now going
to keep up with who has or has not paid. For your $25 annual field donation,
you get:
- Free play
all year long (except the night game) at every game you can attend.
- One of
the best fields East of the Mississippi River
- Private
playdates on non-game days as long as you get it scheduled with me AT
NO COST!
- On site
accessory and gun repair when PT Sales or Nashville Airsoft play (practically
every game)
- On Site
delivery of rental guns
- The best
game day play around
- Constant
field upgrades and additions (Just wait till' you see what we are building
this year
- The youngest
allowed player base of any airsoft field around. The norm for field
play is 18 and older only.
- That's a lot
for a measely $25 a year. So pay up already. You can pay your field fee
in one of two ways and your ID Card will get stamped when you have paid
up.

Field Gameplay Updates and Changes
- UNVERSAL
RESPAWN & MASH UNITS
We are keeping the one universal respawn that we started in 2006. As much
as it can be a pain, it does serve its purpose and it does it well. Now
that the boundaries are clearly marked with the orange fencing, there should
no longer be a debate as to when you are or are not within it. MASH
UNITS In addition to the normal medic rules, we are instigating
new MASH UNITS into the gameplay this year.
- Mash Units
must be manned by two players at all times
- Mash Units
will be designated by a big flag signifying that it is a MASH UNIT and
which side it is for
- When you
die, a player can opt to be medic'ed back in if one is nearby, you can
go respawn at the respawn point with the normal 5 minute wait, or you
can go to your MASH UNIT if it is up and running.
- As long
as one of the two players designated as the unit are alive, it is up
and running. You must move to the MASH UNIT and wait there to respawn
the normal 5 minute time limit.
- IF
YOU ARE RESPAWNING AT A MASH UNIT You may not fire or help to defend
it in any way if it comes under attack
- If
both players who man the unit die, the MASH UNIT was destroyed.
EVERYONE AT THE UNIT WHEN IT IS DESTROYED MUST RESPAWN AT THE UNIVERSAL
RESPAWN. You will lose any time you were already respawning (i.e.
you have to restart your 5 minute count)
- Mash Units
can (and should) be protected by regular players.
- Mash Units
are NOT front line units. Deploying them there will only ensure their
destruction. Don't be stupid with your unit.
- MASH UNITS
are not designed to take the place of medics or the Universal Respawn,
but to complement it. Using one effectively will help your side to victory
very easily. Using it poorly will cost you.
- NUMBER
OF TEAMS IN PLAY numbers permitting, we will add a third "side"
to the games this year. More details on their dress as we get closer to
March
